My topic was on media convergence. This is similar to the future of news. Both deal with the changing news and the different was in which it is presented to the world. In mine we discussed how the news in changing in its delivery and drifting more towards being on the news online through articles and videos in place of news print. This changewas also part of the future of news presentation because this is what it is turning into. Another presentation that was similar was personalization and fragmentation of news. It is similar because this presentation mentioned a lot about how you can now personalize sites, like google and yahoo, to only see stories that you would be interested in. This is a lot like how in our presentation we talked a lot about how the internet is becoming one of the main places to get your news.
I think each of the presentations mentioned the future of news in some way. In our presentation we talked about how the future of news will drift more towards being online through articles and videos and less through print. I think it will also continue to be more "flashy" online to make in more appealing than other sites to make you to certain ones.
From this project I learned that the news it quickly changing and may never go back to the way it once was. Also that just because a network like CNN has all kinds of ways of getting you the news doesn't mean they all work together. Like in my part of the presentation when I tried to look for an article to expand on a story online, there wasn't one. There is also a lot of information to search through and more and more stories are made available through the different forms of media, which makes it a little harder to find the most important news or what is relavent to you.

It features 4 tracks starting off with Mindstorm offering up some of the old sounds of DnB with "Destiny" and "Sudden Movement" followed by Glide bringing the new and current sound with his tunes "Funkadelicious" and "Apoptosis" and showing exactly why he's Japan's next Makoto.
